ABOUT US

Vinyl and Pages (VNP) is a black-owned retail record store based in the BROMO Arts District of Midtown Baltimore, MD.  This boutique retail space specializes in new and used vinyl albums and books. Additionally, VNP curates’ opportunities for small businesses and creatives to secure shelf space. Our mission is to inspire learning through music and books while fostering creativity and community.  VNP is a place that will inspire creativity, whether it is recording a PODCAST, album release party, listening party, book club meeting, game night or a DJ spinning. We want our guests to make this home, we want VNP to belong to the community. 

Our space is available for community events at no cost however a book/vinyl minimum is required. Our space is available after business hours. Dates and times can be negotiated. A host will be present when you arrive for your event. 


STAFFING FEES
– $20
We believe in cooperative economics and using our space to support other creatives, entrepreneurs and businesses. However, we are a small business and must have a dedicated staff member to attend your event. Depending on the size of your event, 1 staff person will be required at $20 per hour. 

4 hr. booking maximum (including setup and breakdown.) 

BOOK/VINYL MINIMUM – $250 
As the host of a private event, you are welcome to invite guests and promote accordingly. Vinyl and Pages offers the space for free. Your patrons are asked to purchase a minimum $25 per person of products while in the space. If the book/vinyl minimum is not met by your patrons, the renter is responsible for the difference. (If guests purchase $150 worth of books and merchandise – renter will be responsible for $100 at the end of the event.)

CC authorization form is required with booking the space. 

Payment will be processed via credit or debit card at the end of the event.

SEATING & FURNITURE 
Vinyl & Pages comfortably seats 20 guests. Standing room: 30-40 guests. Please inform your guests that drinks should only be seated on table top spaces and not near books or vinyl. If any of our inventory is damaged during your event, by your guests, we will deduct the amount of damage to the credit card on file.

  • Furniture: 1 sofa, 2 chairs, high top table with 4 high top chairs.
  • Available Additional seating: 12-fold out chairs.
  • Additional table space: 2 6-foot banquet table / 1 round top table for bar/food. 


SOUND CAPABILITIES 
We offer 1 microphone and a house speaker for events. Additional AV needs can be met at an additional cost. 

FOOD & DRINK
You are welcome to bring drinks and food for your event. Selling of alcohol on site is not allowed. Bar sales are allowed as a donation only.  You should ‘presell’ bar drink tix in advance of your event. Please encourage guests to drink responsibly. 


CLEANING & BREAKDOWN
Renter is responsible for cleaning up space including: trash removal, sweeping/mopping spills, resetting furniture and clearing out materials. Rental hours should reflect your set up and breakdown
