COMMUNITY EVENTS
About Vinyl & Pages (VNP)
Vinyl & Pages (VNP) is a Black-owned record and book store located at Baltimore’s Harborplace. We specialize in new and used vinyl albums and books, while also curating shelf space for local small businesses and creatives. Our mission is to inspire learning through music and literature while fostering creativity and community.
VNP is more than a store—it’s a cultural hub where creativity comes alive. From podcast recordings and album release parties to book club meetings, game nights, DJ sets, and listening sessions, our space is designed to feel like home and to belong to the community.
Community Use of Space
We are proud to make our space available for community events at no cost, with a minimum purchase of books or vinyl required. Events are held after business hours, with dates and times negotiated in advance. A VNP host will be on-site to welcome and support your event.
STAFFING FEES – $25
We believe in cooperative economics and using our space to support other creatives, entrepreneurs and businesses. However, we are a small business and must have a dedicated staff member to attend your event. Depending on the size of your event, 1 staff person will be required at $25 per hour (per 15 guests.)
4 hr. booking maximum (including setup and breakdown.)
BOOK/VINYL MINIMUM – $300
As the host of a private event, you are welcome to invite guests and promote accordingly. Vinyl and Pages offers the space for free. Your patrons are asked to purchase a minimum $25 per person of products while in the space. If the book/vinyl minimum is not met by your patrons, the renter is responsible for the difference. (If guests purchase $150 worth of books and merchandise – renter will be responsible for $100 at the end of the event.)
